Solution Labs Brings Women Leaders Together
Workshop for Empowering Women Leaders
The inaugural online workshop, titled "Shared Challenges and Opportunities," marked the first phase of "Empowering Women Leaders for Gender Equality in City Governance." Moderated by Burcuhan Şener, Director of International Affairs at MMU, and Julia Munroe, Metropolis Policy Officer, the session brought together 11 women leaders from diverse cities including Istanbul, Balıkesir, Antalya, Ramallah, Amman, Buenos Aires, and Sao Paulo.
Focused on identifying barriers obstructing women's leadership paths, the workshop aims to catalyze both individual and structural transformations. By fostering an environment of experience-sharing and collaboration, the program endeavors to enhance women's leadership skills and cultivate a supportive network.
Unleashing Leadership Potential by Overcoming Obstacles
Central to the initiative is the objective of empowering female municipal managers with the requisite knowledge, tools, and skills for effective leadership. The workshops serve as a crucial step in nurturing a dynamic and supportive community, fostering connections, sharing insights, and paving the way for future collaborations.
During the online session, participants got to know each other and shared their professional backgrounds. They will share best practices during the face-to-face workshop. The aim is to integrate gender perspectives into policy frameworks and project design through the exploration of exemplary practices.
