Mustafa Bozbey

President of Marmara Municipalities Union

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Mustafa Bozbey was elected the seventeenth President of the Marmara Municipalities Union (MMU) during the 2024 1st Ordinary Assembly Meeting held in Istanbul on May 8, 2024, following the 2024 Local Elections.

Biography

Bozbey, born in 1962 in Özlüce District of Bursa, completed his primary education at Özlüce Primary School and his secondary and high school education at Bursa Cumhuriyet High School.

He graduated from Anadolu University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1984, and later pursued a master's degree in the same field.

He launched his career in 1986 and established Bozbey Construction Industry and Trade Limited Company in 1989, where he continued to work in his chosen field.

He served as the Nilüfer Mayor for four consecutive terms from 1999 to 2019 and was subsequently elected as the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor in the 2024 Local Elections.

He was elected as the President of the Marmara Municipalities Union at the 1st Ordinary Assembly Meeting of 2024 held in Istanbul on May 8, 2024.
