Registration for the 6th World Forum of Local Economic Development is Now Open
This sixth forum will revisit the discussions initiated in the first forum with a multifaceted regional focus, particularly emphasizing cooperation among stakeholders and regional instruments such as local development agencies. The forum will address global priorities including the triple transformation encompassing digital, social, and economic transitions; social justice; local workforce training; care services; financing for development; public administration; public-private partnerships and the role of the private sector; social and solidarity economy; employment and decent work opportunities; and the 'local' care economy.
WFLED 6 is open to political and technical representatives of national, regional, and local governments; local development agencies; transnational agencies; specialized civil society organizations; management and knowledge system institutions; the private sector; social solidarity economy representatives; and subject matter experts.
The WFLED aligns with global agendas such as the Sustainable Development Goals, the New Urban Agenda, the United Nations Future Summit, and the Pact for the Future of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), while coordinating and harmonizing with processes like the OECD Local Development Forum and the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF).
