Association of Communes of Romania Delegation Hosted by MMU
MMU hosted a delegation from the Romanian Municipalities Association (ACoR), consisting of mayors and local government representatives. During the meeting, discussions focused on improving services provided to local governments, initiatives in the field of local diplomacy, and opportunities for international cooperation.
The meeting also included a presentation on MMU's projects, training programs, and consultancy offered to its member municipalities. Through mutual exchange of information, the ACoR delegation shared the key challenges faced by municipalities in Romania as well as successful local governance models implemented in the country. Additionally, opportunities for collaboration were explored on topics of mutual importance such as sustainable development, urbanization, social policies, and migration.
The discussions underscored the significance of such interactions in building bridges between the local government systems of the two countries, facilitating knowledge and experience sharing, and fostering the development of joint projects.
